Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-22

These Terms govern your use of Eventify's attendee apps and admin console — whether the event you're attending runs under Eventify's own brand or as an organizer's branded container app.

§ 01

Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Eventify's attendee apps (mobile and web) and admin console (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you're using the Service on behalf of an event organizer or other organization, you're agreeing on that organization's behalf as well as your own.

§ 02

What Eventify is

Eventify is a multi-tenant event-app platform: event organizers use our App Designer to compose a branded attendee app — agenda, people directory, sponsors, documents, maps, announcements, and engagement features like surveys, live Q&A and trivia — and publish it as a versioned release to their attendees. Some events run under Eventify's own brand; many run as "branded container" apps carrying a client organization's own name and identity. These Terms apply to your use of the Service either way.

§ 03

Accounts & access

Most events let you browse as a guest; features that use your identity — your personal schedule, engagement features, posting to the activity feed — require signing in with your email address using a one-time passwordless code. We never ask for or store a password. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your sign-in access secure, and not share your account with others. Some events may require sign-in to use at all, at the organizer's discretion.

§ 04

Acceptable use & your content

Where an event enables the activity feed, live Q&A, surveys or similar features, you may submit posts, comments, questions and responses ("your content"). You agree not to submit content that:

  • is illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit;
  • impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation;
  • infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy; or
  • spams, advertises, or is otherwise unrelated to the event.

Organizers and their moderators can review reported content and remove it or restrict accounts that violate these rules; we may do the same at the platform level for safety or legal reasons. Report content you believe violates these Terms as described on our Support page.

§ 05

Client-organized events

When you attend an event organized by a client organization in a branded container app, that organization is responsible for the event's content, schedule and community guidelines, and — as described in our Privacy Policy — is the data controller for attendee data collected through that event. Eventify provides the underlying platform and acts on that organization's behalf. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Privacy Policy.

§ 06

Content and ownership

Organizers own the content they load into their event (agenda, speaker bios, sponsor materials, documents, branding). You own the content you submit (activity-feed posts, Q&A questions, survey and trivia responses), and by submitting it you grant the event organizer and Eventify a license to display, store and moderate it within the Service for the life of the event. We don't use your content for any purpose outside operating the Service.

§ 07

Availability & changes

Because the Service is server-driven — organizers publish new "releases" that update the app in place — the specific screens, navigation and features you see can change at any time as the organizer edits their event, without an app-store update. We work to keep the Service available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and features (including parts of the Engagement suite — surveys, live Q&A, trivia) may be added, changed or removed.

§ 08

Suspension & termination

An event organizer may end their event or your access to it at any time. We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, poses a security risk, or as required by law. You can stop using the Service at any time, and can request deletion of your account and data as described in the Privacy Policy.

§ 09

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content — including attendee-submitted content — is accurate or appropriate.

§ 10

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eventify is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

§ 11

Governing law

Placeholder pending legal review — see the notice at the top of this page. Until finalized by counsel, these Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Eventify's operating entity is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

§ 12

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be highlighted in-app or by your event organizer where appropriate.
