Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-22

This policy explains what information Eventify collects through the attendee app and admin console, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have over it — including how to export or delete your data yourself, right now.

§ 01

Overview

Eventify operates a platform that event organizers use to build and run branded attendee apps for conferences, festivals and other gatherings — including Pearls of the Quran for Al-Madina Institute. This policy applies whenever you use an Eventify-powered event app, whether it's branded "Eventify" or carries an organizer's own name and logo (a "branded container" app).

The technology and data practices described here are the same across every event. What differs is who is responsible for your data — explained next.

§ 02

Who controls your data

Eventify events run under one of two ownership models:

  • Eventify-operated events — if Eventify runs an event directly, Eventify is the data controller: we decide why and how attendee data is processed.
  • Client-organized events in branded container apps — here, the client organization (a conference host, institute, or similar) is the data controller for its own attendees, and Eventify acts as a data processor, handling data only on that organization's instructions and only to operate their event app.

If you attended a specific organization's event, that organization is who to contact first about your data. You can also use the support address at the bottom of this page — for client-organized events we'll route your request to the right organizer.

§ 03

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information through the attendee app:

Categories of information Eventify collects, what each includes, and where it comes from
Category What it includes Where it comes from
Account & profile Name, email address, and — optionally — a profile photo, role/title, and company or organization. Provided by you when you sign in or edit your profile.
Attendee-generated content Posts and comments on the event activity feed, live Q&A questions, survey responses, and trivia-game answers. Created by you when you use those features.
Device & notifications A push-notification token tied to your device and app install. Generated by your device when you opt in to push notifications — including as a guest, before you sign in.
Usage analytics Sign-in events and basic page/screen views. Collected automatically as you use the app.

We do not ask for or knowingly collect payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or precise geolocation — the venue maps in the app are static floor plans, not GPS tracking.

§ 04

How we use information

  • Operate the app — authenticate you, sync your profile, and show you the right event's agenda, people directory, and content.
  • Personalize your experience — build your personal schedule from sessions you star, and surface engagement features (surveys, live Q&A, trivia) for the event you're attending.
  • Communicate with you — deliver push notifications and announcement emails that you or the event organizer configure, such as schedule changes or session reminders.
  • Keep the community usable — review reported activity-feed posts and Q&A questions.
  • Understand and improve the platform — aggregate, non-invasive analytics such as sign-in counts and page views.

We do not use your information to serve you third-party advertising, and we do not build cross-app or cross-event advertising profiles.

§ 05

How we share information

We share information with the following service providers ("sub-processors"), each contractually limited to using it only to provide their service to us:

Service providers, their purpose, and the data involved
Provider Purpose Data involved
Resend Transactional email delivery — sign-in codes, announcement emails Email address, message content
Expo (Expo Application Services) Push notification delivery to iOS and Android devices Push-notification token
Render Application hosting for the API, admin console and attendee app All data in transit and at rest on our infrastructure
Object storage (MinIO-compatible, operated by Eventify) Stores uploaded files: profile photos, activity-feed images, event documents Uploaded files and their metadata

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with data brokers or advertisers. We only disclose information beyond the above when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users, or with your consent.

For client-organized events, we also share attendee data with the client organization operating that event, as its data controller — providing them their own event's data is the service they've engaged us to perform.

§ 06

How long we keep information

We retain event data for the life of the event's account on the platform — for as long as the organizer keeps the event active — so agendas, directories, and your saved schedule stay available for the event's duration and any post-event access the organizer provides. When you request deletion (below), we act on that request rather than waiting for the event to end.

We finalize account-deletion requests within 30 days. Finalization removes the durable organization attendee identity and all linked event profiles, authored posts and comments, member-uploaded profile/feed photos, personal schedules, notes, favorites, identified engagement activity, active sessions, push registrations, and linked analytics and email-delivery records from the active service. Confidential survey responses and aggregate statistics that cannot be linked back to an account may remain. A minimal non-identifying completion audit is retained for security and compliance. Deleted information may remain temporarily in access-restricted disaster-recovery backups until those backups rotate and is not restored to the active service.

§ 07

Your rights & choices

You can exercise these rights directly from the app, without waiting on us:

Do it yourself, right now

  • Export your dataProfile → Privacy → Export my data downloads a JSON copy of your profile and activity.
  • Request deletionProfile → Privacy → Request deletion. We finalize deletion requests within 30 days; deleting your account covers all linked event profiles for that organization and the associated data described in How long we keep information.
  • Control your profile's visibility — event admins configure what parts of your profile (e.g. company, contact details) are visible to other attendees; you can edit or remove your own profile fields and photo at any time.
  • Opt out of push and email — push notifications require your explicit opt-in and can be turned off any time in your device settings or in-app; announcement emails can be disabled from your profile.

Can't access the app, or need help? Email support@useeventify.com — see our Support page for what to include, or jump straight to Delete your account for step-by-step instructions, including a web-based path that needs no app install.

§ 08

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) between the app and our servers, access-controlled infrastructure, and authenticated, time-limited sign-in tokens rather than passwords. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

§ 09

Children's privacy

Eventify's attendee apps are intended for people attending conferences and similar events, and are not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at support@useeventify.com and we will delete it.

§ 10

International users

Eventify and the sub-processors listed above may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate. By using an Eventify-powered app, you understand your information may be processed outside your own country.

§ 11

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do; material changes will be highlighted in-app or by the event organizer where appropriate.

§ 12
